Company Name Change Project
The name "U of C Federal Credit Union" implied that you needed to be associated with the University in order to bank there. In actuality, less than 30% of the membership had a University association. A new name was needed to communicate that banking at the credit union was open to almost anyone living along the Front Range of Colorado.
Project action plan
- Scoping, budgeting, and Board approval
- Name selection, trademarking, domain name procurement, regulatory permissions, logo design and branding (through James Clark Consulting)
- Communications with key stakeholders such as membership groups, University management, and top participating members
- Employee engagement activities and launch event
- Implementation such as branch signage, credit cards, checks, forms, business cards, stationary, and collateral
- Communication to membership
- Promotion to communities
